A deliciously creamy and silky-smooth hot chocolate that is made with real chocolate, and is easily put together in the microwave. An indulgent and comforting hot drink to enjoy!
Add the milk to a large microwave-safe bowl or jug, and heat in 1 minute intervals until very hot to the touch (but not bubbling). Set aside.
Add the chocolate to a separate microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each one, until melted and smooth.
Add the melted chocolate to the hot milk, and whisk until combined. Whisk in the vanilla and sugar.
Pour into your favourite mugs, and top with whipped cream and/or marshmallows!

*Depending on the type of chocolate you use, you may want to omit the sugar. If using milk or semi-sweet, the hot chocolate may already be sweet enough.
