Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake
I absolutely love mug cakes!
They are quick and easy to throw together, conveniently made in the microwave, and usually ready to eat in just under a couple of minutes.
They’re perfect for when you’re craving cake, but you don’t wanna put the oven on, nor bake a whole cake.
A quick fix for your sweet tooth!
This mug cake is moist and fluffy, loaded with peanut butter chips, and filled with a melting peanut butter centre. It is absolutely delicious, and bursting with chocolate and peanut butter flavour!

- Baking soda

How to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake
To make this cake, grab a large microwave-safe mug and stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, and stir until smooth and combined.
Mix in the peanut butter chips.
Spoon a teaspoon of peanut butter into the centre of the batter – no need to push down, it will sink in as the cake cooks.
Microwave on high for 1 minute 30 seconds or until the cake is cooked in the middle. (Timing is based on my 800W microwave so your timing might vary. See my recipe notes below in the recipe card for more info.)
Enjoy warm on its own or with a scoop of ice cream!
The printable recipe card with the full list of ingredients, their measurements, and instructions can be found at the bottom of this post.
NOTE: For best results, I highly recommend using the gram measurements (with a digital scale), rather than the cup measurements. Cup measurements are simply not accurate enough, and I cannot guarantee the best results if you use them.
This Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake is:
