Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

This smoothie is made with only five simple ingredients, and is super quick and easy to throw together. It’s so easy and delicious, you’ll be wanting to make it every morning!

INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED

Here’s a list of ingredients you’ll need to make this smoothie. You can find my recipe card at the bottom of this post for the complete list with their amounts.

  • Rolled oats: You’ll be grinding these up slightly before making the rest of the smoothie.
  • Almond milk: Or you can use whichever milk you prefer.
  • Large banana
  • Strawberries: You’ll need 14 decent-sized strawberries – frozen.
  • Honey: For added sweetness. You can leave it out if you find the smoothie already sweet enough.

How to make Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

To make this smoothie, simply add the oats to a blender or food processor, and pulse a few times to grind them up slightly.

Add the milk, banana, strawberries, and honey, and blend until smooth and combined.

Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

The printable recipe card with the FULL list of ingredients and instructions can be found at the bottom of this post.

NOTE: For best results, I highly recommend using the gram measurements (with a digital scale), rather than the cup measurements.

Cup measurements are simply not accurate enough, and I cannot guarantee the best results if you use them.

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

This Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie is:

  • super quick and easy to make
  • deliciously thick and creamy
  • perfectly filling and healthy
  • a satisfying smoothie to enjoy for breakfast

Why put oats in a smoothie? Oats are a great way to add fibre to smoothies without adding a lot of calories. Plus, they add texture and thickness!

What are the best oats for smoothies? I like to use rolled oats and grind them up slightly so they are not as chunky, but quick oats work well too. Use whichever oats you like, depending on the texture you want to achieve.

How do you make an oatmeal smoothie smoother? If you don’t like the texture the dried oats give the smoothie, you can soak the oats with the milk overnight. This will soften the oats, and make for a smoother smoothie.

Can I keep this smoothie refrigerated overnight? Yes you can! The oats will become more softer than when you prepared it, but the smoothie will be just as delicious.

This sounds amazing but I have a question when making this could you use the frozen strawberries and banana fruit that comes together in one bag and if so how much fruit would I use to make the smoothie? Can’t wait to try it I’m going to make it today if I can figure the measurements out with the bagged frozen fruit.

Hi Kelly! 1 large banana is about 136g, and 14 strawberries is about 168g (depending on size). I hope that helps! :)
