Ingredients you’ll need

Here’s a list of ingredients you’ll need to make this smoothie. You can find my recipe card at the bottom of this post for the complete list with their amounts.

  • Large banana: Sliced and frozen.
  • Cocoa powder: I used drinking cocoa, but you can use baking cocoa if you’d prefer.
  • Almond milk: You may use whichever milk you prefer.
  • Greek-style yogurt: You can use full-fat, or 0% fat.
  • Honey, maple syrup, or agave
  • Smooth peanut butter

How to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

To make this smoothie, simply add all of the ingredients to a blender or food processor, and blend until completely smooth and combined.

This smoothie is not too thick (that you can’t drink it through a straw!), but if you’d like to thin it out, just add a little more milk.

Pour into your favourite glasses, top with some grated chocolate if desired, serve and enjoy!

The printable recipe card with the full list of ingredients, their measurements, and instructions can be found at the bottom of this post.

  1. You had mentioned that you used drinking cocoa. By this are you meaning you used like a packet of hot cocoa mix or some good ole fashion chocolate Nesquik powder?

  2. Thank you!!!! I turn every smoothie into a everything-but-the-kitchen-sink smoothie and wonder why it doesn’t taste like chocolate and pb so I needed a recipe to follow. However, I did add some salt to bring out the chocolate flavor. I’ve been trying to go the smoothie route instead of the ice cream route and this recipe has been great! Thanks again!!

    1. To replace yogurt in smoothies, you can use non-dairy yogurts, or silken tofu. If you don’t have them, you can try simply making it without yogurt and see how it turns out.

  3. I made this just now for my 6 yr old. She says it is amazing! It got me the title of “best mom ever” today
