For the milk chocolate layer, add the chocolate and peanut butter to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each one, until melted and smooth.

  1. My husband is a PB and Chocolate fan and I can’t wait to make this for him. Thanks for sharing.

  2. When I was a kid, there *used to be* a chocolate-covered peanut butter bar dessert served in American public schools (I’m not sure if they were served nation-wide or just a regional dessert). I say *used to be* because you’d never find this in any school cafeteria today due to the prevalence of peanut allergies. I think the “lunch ladies” actually made them fresh, right there on the premises, and I can remember how we used to look forward to the days when they were on the menu. Thank you for this recipe as it looks very much like the sweet treat from my childhood. I can’t wait to make them! :O)

  3. I am lucky enough to taste all your delicious recipes with being your mum and these peanut butter, and chocolate slices are so yummy, and one just isn’t enough lol
